There are a few iconic historical facts about Stanmore

Firstly, the church built in 1898, has been around for 120 years! Its pulpit is more than 100 years old and for music lovers, the pipe organ is a must see! pastor

Pr Geoff Youlden

Geoff’s passion lies in developing ways of enticing people to look into the Bible story, and then leading them to accept Jesus as their Saviour. He began his ministry in 1967. To this end he has mentored pastors and lay people all over Australia, giving guidance and practical instruction on how to lead the local church and share the Bible in their own communities.

Early in his ministry Geoff had the privilege of undertaking a 3-month study tour of the Middle East and visiting archaeological sites that have Biblical significance. This was an invaluable asset when he lectured on how the Biblical records can be substantiated, and the trustworthiness of God’s Word.

Geoff has realised his dream of being a public speaker – preaching the gospel from the smallest isolated country towns to the largest venues in the major capitals in Australia and New Zealand. He was fortunate to be accepted into the Max Rowley Media Academy, where he learned the art of speaking to camera, and how to adapt a presentation to time limits. He duly completed the course as Runner-up Announcer of the Year! (1989)

Along with inspiring people to follow the Bible, Geoff has contributed to developing the Daniel & Revelation series, the Search series, and more recently, he was a presenter on the Beyond series. He was also the speaker for Jesus 2000.

Geoff is now the Pastor at Stanmore Seventh-day Adventist Church. We invite you to come and hear his lively, in-depth, Bible based messages.
